I have been an educator since 1997. That's not a line on a resume — it's the foundation of everything I do. I started in the classroom, moved into administration, and have served as a superintendent in three Texas school districts since 2015. Every challenge you're facing, I've likely faced it too.
I've led districts through budget crises and bond elections. I've navigated difficult board relationships and built new ones rooted in trust. I've hired and developed leaders, worked through campus safety challenges, and built school cultures where staff are encouraged to take risks and fail forward. That last part matters to me — because real growth, for leaders and organizations alike, requires the courage to try things that might not work.
Beyond my work in Clyde ISD, I've been privileged to serve in statewide leadership roles with the Texas Association of Community Schools, the Texas Association of School Administrators, the Texas Association of Midsized Schools, and Region 14's Big Country School Administrators. Those roles have given me a wide-angle view of what's working — and what isn't — in Texas public education.
I'm also the author of Called to Lead: 365 Days of Faith-Filled Wisdom for School Leaders — a daily devotional written specifically for the men and women who carry the weight of leading school districts. It's the book I wish I'd had in year one.
At my core, I am a connector and a problem-solver. I believe leadership means empowering people, building trust, and having the courage to take risks for the sake of long-term success. That philosophy doesn't change whether I'm sitting at a board table, coaching a first-year superintendent, or helping a business find its footing in the K-12 market.
Allen Leadership Strategies is the next chapter — a way to keep investing in the leaders and communities I've spent my career serving. I'm not here to tell you what leadership should look like in theory. I'm here because I've lived it, and I believe the best way to honor that experience is to share it.
